North Rhine-Westphalia is leading the way at state level with the comprehensive "Progres.NRW low-emission mobility" funding programme, focusing on electromobility as a key technology for decarbonizing operational and municipal mobility. Fleet and site managers can use this funding to electrify their fleet and sites: Funding is provided for the entire electrification project - from the beginning (the implementation concept) to the end (setting up the charging infrastructure).
Initially, consulting and concept services for implementation concepts in the field of electromobility will be funded. Companies, local authorities and municipalities in NRW are thus supported in the development of their mobility planning as part of their overarching decarbonization strategies in a targeted and needs-oriented manner to transform their fleets sustainably. At the same time, they benefit in the long term from the advantages of efficient, environmentally friendly mobility.
The concept funding of the "Low-emission mobility" program includes various contents and aspects aimed at accelerating the use of electric vehicles and the expansion of the charging infrastructure. The funded implementation concepts must relate to at least one of the following aspects:
1. procurement of electric vehicles (min. 5 e-vehicles): Concepts that include the procurement of purely battery-electric cars and vans in vehicle classes M1 and N1.
2. construction of charging infrastructure (min. 10 LP): Concepts that include the construction of charging points, be it normal charging points or fast charging points with at least 50 kW charging capacity at one location.
3. procurement of commercial vehicles and buses (min. 1 e-vehicle): Concepts involving the purchase of battery-electric commercial vehicles of classes N2 and N3 as well as buses of class M3 or special vehicles are also supported.
The funding amount varies depending on the type of concept and applicant. For companies, it is up to €10,000 for concepts relating to e-vehicles (cars and vans) and charging infrastructure (1. & 2.) and up to €50,000 for concepts for heavy commercial vehicles and buses (3.). Municipalities and municipal associations even receive grants of up to €80,000 for concepts with the same thematic references (1.-3.). Clear funding quotas make it easy for companies and local authorities to explore their financial options and make the most of the funding.
Inno2fleet by Schneider Electric offers comprehensive consulting and concept services to support companies and municipalities in taking advantage of these funding opportunities. As a 360° e-mobility provider, we understand the complexity of the funding guidelines, know the application process and support our customers from start (concept) to finish (implementation).
1. offer and application: Our team will prepare an individual offer tailored to your needs and provide support with the application for funding. The application is made online and is completed in just a few steps with our guidance. This reduces the bureaucratic effort to a minimum and ensures smooth processing.
2. concept development: As soon as the funding application is approved (usually within 4-6 weeks), we take over the concept development for your electromobility and charging infrastructure projects.
Depending on the focus and objectives of the concept, our range of services includes the development of an overarching electrification strategy for your company or municipality as well as the appropriate charging infrastructure concepts for each location.
- For the electrification strategy , our experts analyze your fleet and mobility profiles, identify suitable e-vehicles, calculate the charging requirements and develop demand-oriented charging scenarios. Finally, the clear implementation plan models the fleet conversion and the establishment and expansion of the required charging infrastructure. Another key component is a comprehensive business case to assess the profitability of your electrification strategy.
- Finally, the charging infrastructure concept prepares the immediate implementation for the installation of charging points at each location. During the site assessment, our technical experts determine the conditions on site, define the technical specification of the charging infrastructure and model the system architecture. If required, PV and energy storage systems as well as dynamic energy management systems can also be integrated - allowing the e-fleet to be charged directly with solar power generated on site.
From the funding application and concept development to the installation and operation of the charging infrastructure, inno2fleet and Schneider Electric offer all solutions from a single source. Once the implementation concept has been drawn up, it is also possible to obtain funding from "Progres.NRW" for the installation of the charging infrastructure. inno2fleet is also happy to provide support with the application and implementation of the project.
With inno2fleet and Schneider Electric at your side, you can make the most of the opportunities offered by the "Progres.NRW low-emission mobility" funding program and make your fleet fit for the future. Together we will accompany you as reliable partners on the way to sustainable and low-emission mobility in North Rhine-Westphalia and beyond.
