Schindler had already started to electrify its vehicle fleet with the aim of achieving CO₂ savings and benefiting from the cost advantages of an electric fleet. In addition to the electrification of the vehicle fleet, other innovative components of company mobility were to be considered, such as the introduction of mobility budgets, pooling vehicles, and company bicycles.
The activities already started should now be embedded in an overarching strategic mobility concept that addresses the necessary mobility needs holistically and aligns them with a view to the future. In order to define the sustainable corporate mobility of the future, the corporate mobility concept therefore identified efficient and needs-based mobility solutions for fulfilling corporate tasks that leverage cost-saving potential and are environmentally compatible at the same time. The aim was to integrate these solutions into the existing mobility infrastructure in a meaningful way.
